Introduction about Pharmacy Department – Bachelor of Pharmacy program
Pharmacy Department was established under Decision No. 2475/QĐ-ĐHTV, dated 15/10/2012 by the Rector of Tra Vinh University
Tra Vinh University’s Bachelor of Pharmacy program which was first built and issued in 2014 and strongly improved in 2022 with clear criteria and is clearly aligned with the vision and mission of the University and the School
The Bachelor of Pharmacy Program’s educational philosophy
“Responsibility – Competence – Adaptation”
“Responsibility”: Students in pharmacy are fully aware of their personal and professional responsibilities to the pharmaceutical industry and society for a good practice of good public health protection.
“Competence”: Students who graduate from the study program continuously improved for meeting the professional requirements of society.
“Adaptation”: Students are equipped with knowledge, skills, and thinking for environmental adaptation and changing requirements.
- Mission
The program aims to provide human resources who have good moral, fundamental scientific, and medical knowledge with basic professional knowledge, and skills to advise on the rational use of the drug in terms of safety, and efficiency; have a good capacity for drug manufacture, management, and supply. Moreover, the TVU’s graduated pharmacists can do scientific research and self-study to improve their professional qualifications to meet the demand for caring, protecting, and enhancing people’s health
- Vision
The Department of Pharmacy, School of Medicine and Pharmacy, continues to develop the program of “Bachelor of Pharmacy” which is characterized by its being student-centered, integrating and staying updated with advanced science and technology, as well as bringing forth humanity and community application
